I do have a couple like that, and they didn't really seem to work. I'd quite like to photograph some penguins though! The robin was actually quite friendly, willing to come within a decent distance of me - probably within about 15 feet, quite amazingly. Didn't really even seem to mind I was snapping away like a madman. It's pretty much straight off of the camera - no cropping, but I tweaked colour balance and added a light vignette.
