Shot Notes

I know that I already posted one of the London Eye, but really it was too tempting to post this one as well! After we got off of the Eye we went and had a meal, and afterwards I managed to capture this from the Golden Jubilee bridge.

Really the conditions were ideal and I got lucky with the light. Very little wind, extremely still water in the Thames, which really made this an obvious candidate for the long exposure treatment. However… I’d neglected to bring my tripod. Oops – not doing that again!

Luckily, if you’ve ever been to the bridge, you’d know that the handrails are spaced just far enough that you can slip in a DSLR lens in-between them, and brace the camera against one of the supporting columns. So I got this pretty sharp 4s exposure.

Nice improvisation, you certainly couldn’t tell you didn’t have a tripod!

Wow! Great shot! Very clear and crisp shot. And excellent work for not having to use a tripod…gotta love the urban environment.

Wow! I really love this blog!

@ Dave: I want to start a photo-blog on the WordPress.org platform (I already have one at: http://www.uberpix.wordpress.com ) , and was just wondering if I could get this theme?

    Hi Sravan,

I don’t think this will work on wordpress.org. You need the YAPB plugin for this to work at all.

Oh, so it won’t work? Then, do you have any other ideas where I can find such themes (like which use that smooth animation)?

    Thanks
